Anticrepuscular rays when seen from the ground are usually faint and take some care to find.

Crepuscular and anticrepuscular rays behave in the same way and indeed are the same effect.

Anticrepuscular rays while parallel in reality are sometimes visible in the sky in the direction opposite the sun.

Occasionally, during sunset or sunrise, anticrepuscular rays can be seen to converge at the antisolar point near the horizon.

Pictured above is a particularly striking set of anticrepuscular rays photographed earlier this month from a moving car just outside of Boulder, Colorado, USA.

In this case they are called anticrepuscular or antisolar rays.
