Over a 13 week composting period and through five stand-alone modules, students will have the opportunity to make their own composts and practice the vital skills required to manage composting systems.

Canadian commercial compost standards require that under windrow composting a temperature of 55oC or greater is maintained for at least 15 days during the composting period and that during this period, the compost is turned at least five times (20).
