In 2007 Der Zibet resumed activities, with Mahito a full member again.

That same year he formed a band called Lynx, with Der Zibet vocalist Issay.

Issay (Der Zibet) provides vocals for "Itoshi no Rock Star".

Der Zibet continued to put out many releases and collaborate with other artists, but after their 1996 live compilation album Ari the band went on hiatus.

One of the songs, "Itoshi no Rock Star", featured Issay (Der Zibet) on backing vocals, he also appeared with the band on the tour.

Der Zibet was formed in 1984 by vocalist Issay and bassist Hal, who were previously in a band called Issay and Suicides.

They even played a gig there, at the Greyhound music club, and amongst those who attended were members of the band Der Zibet, who were also recording in London at the time.

Issay of Der Zibet covered it live with Yoshiki of X Japan on piano and a small orchestra at Extasy Summit '91 at the Nippon Budokan.

He is also influenced by post-punk/first wave goth acts such as The Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Clan of Xymox, and Der Zibet and Masami Tsuchiya.
