Clients often want help with consumer disputes and divorce and real estate matters.
We do not resolve individual consumer disputes.
They typically provide cover for consumer disputes, personal injuries and employment matters.
Typically, they cover consumer disputes, personal injury claims, employment matters and inheritance problems.
My view is that this proposal would create a compulsory arbitration system for resolving these consumer disputes.
We must be clear that this is an attempt to deal with a large number of low-value cross-border consumer disputes, outside the normal legal system.
But it is not the panacea to all consumer disputes.
Each Member State will have to put in place procedures which can deal with out-of-court settlements of consumer disputes.
Putting this into practice requires the creation of a European model for resolving consumer disputes.
